Looking to elevate your organization and bring it to the next level? Bring on graduate students from University Canada West to be your student-consultants to evaluate your organization's business strategy and to propose approaches to improve the firm's market position. Students will work on one main project over the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.


The teams will apply their international and entrepreneurial knowledge as MBA students with critical analyses/strategies/design skills to develop ideas in your organization. The teams will complete an analysis, provide strategic recommendations and practical options, and recommend an action plan appropriate to your business situation in consultation with you.

As a participating organization, you will provide a specific question, business issue/ challenge, or opportunity that will be the focus of the student team review.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Project deliverables will be a final report including their research, analysis, insights and recommendations. Students will also present their findings in a 5-10 minute presentation and participate in Q&A sessions.

Project Examples

In this assignment, students will conduct an overview of your business and understand your industry and competitive landscape. As a participating organization, you can direct their research by providing particular areas of interest and context on your challenges. You'll receive unique insights from their analyses by allowing students to perform an unbiased assessment and review.


Students will identify strengths, weaknesses and areas of opportunity. They will provide recommendations in one or more areas that address your business needs and insights into potential growth areas.
