Students will design a mobile application applying user experience and user interface techniques over 3 weeks. At the end of this 3 week sprint, a minimum viable product will be designed.

User Experience

  • Research ( Organizational/domain/user/competitive comparative etc.)
  • Planning of design sprint (information architecture, data analysis, brainstorming etc.)
  • Design (wireframes, prototypes etc)
  • Testing (user testing, iterating)
  • Presentation ( final presentation to community partner on the work done throughout the 3 week sprint)

User Interface

  • Research Research ( Organizational/domain/user/competitive comparative etc.)
  • Design inceptions, moodboards, art direction
  • Design Hi-fidelity mockups from wireframes
  • User interface elements (icons, graphics, visual elements)

Additional company criteria

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

  • Q1 - Checkbox
    Be on site for a kick off meeting on Wed 12th July
  • Q2 - Checkbox
    Provide students with 5-15 contacts of your target market so that they can conduct surveys and consumer research
  • Q3 - Checkbox
    Be responsive to student queries throughout the duration of the project (5 hours a week)
  • Q4 - Checkbox
    Be present on site for the final presentation on Friday, August 11th
