Details

Our professionals have multiple responsibilities in their roles, which includes technical expertise and responding to challenging, difficult, and unique situations and individuals. Our goal is to ensure our team is prepared with adequate leadership skills, including conflict management, problem solving, critical thinking, communication, strategic thinking and leadership, creativity, persuasion and negotiation skills, to name a few.

Deliverables

The achievement of this goal will include one or more of the following:

  • Assess, explain and recommend the leadership skills required of the role
  • Develop a leadership competency map for this role, or multiple roles
  • Create a leadership skills training program and guide
  • Develop educational material, tools, and other resources related to leadership capabilities and behavioural frameworks such as: LEADS, DiSC, Emotional Intelligence, Tuckman Model of Group Development, etc...
  • Build a leadership evaluation tool to assess leadership competencies
Mentorship

The employer will provide organizational and role information, as well as present the information at a kick-off meeting with the students. The employer will be available for any questions by email, phone or virtual meeting. A dedicated employer representative will be assigned to this project.

Our organization partners to provide onsite third-party Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC), and Environmental Services (EVS), audits of practices and processes with objective, qualitative and quantitative feedback that are used to recognize results and develop quality improvement action plans. Our in-person infection control and environmental services education and training sessions, provided to IPAC Leads, frontline employees, clinicians, and leadership teams, develops fundamental and consistent knowledge and experience. We also partner to introduce IPAC and EVS manuals, and IPAC and EVS program development and implementation.
