We would like to develop a system to effectively build our workforce. Working with students, we want to assess and improve our hiring practices and implement structure and best practices.

Students should be prepared to:

  • Evaluate our current recruitment and selection procedures.
  • Develop hiring systems and processes, based on best practices and our organizational needs.
  • Consider the use of psychometric tests, assessment exercises, and standardized interview practices.
  • Recommend talent acquisition branding and marketing strategies

Deliverables
  • Develop a talent acquisition guide/playbook for our organization
  • Develop talent acquisition tools which could include employment screening and application, interview guides and questions, and reference check templates
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to our job postings and career opportunity website
  • Recommend talent acquisition channels to increase candidate pool
  • Recommend talent acquisition branding and marketing strategies and material
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with the employer for mentorship and supervision throughout the project by email, Riipen or virtual meetings. A dedicated employer representative will be assigned.

Our organization partners to provide onsite third-party Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC), and Environmental Services (EVS), audits of practices and processes with objective, qualitative and quantitative feedback that are used to recognize results and develop quality improvement action plans. Our in-person infection control and environmental services education and training sessions, provided to IPAC Leads, frontline employees, clinicians, and leadership teams, develops fundamental and consistent knowledge and experience. We also partner to introduce IPAC and EVS manuals, and IPAC and EVS program development and implementation.
