Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Kindrednotes is a platform where users will be able to create, send and receive kind notes. It’s a platform to connect people on a deeper level and inspire and create meaningful connections/ conversations. By helping people see themselves in another, we will demonstrate that we are not alone and that we are all united in the emotions we experience - i.e. love, loss, joy, fear, excitement.

To achieve this goal, we will create a mobile application that aims to connect people around the world through a note distributing network. On this platform, members will be able to write, send and receive kind notes from other members.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students will create an app that allows users to:

  • Register and identify by their first name (or nickname) and country of origin
  • Customize and personalize notes with limited fonts and colours
  • Share kindrednotes via email and social media
  • Select their interests from a preselected list of keyword topics or tags
  • Build with vision for additional added features in the future

Final deliverables should include:

- All source code.

- A written report explaining the design process and outcomes.

About the company

Why KindredNotes?
Kindrednotes is a social enterprise dedicated to encouraging and inspiring kindness and empathy through kind notes.

What is a KindredNote?
A Kindrednote is just what it sounds like, a kind note. It could be a simple note to say something kind or a quote that’s had a positive impact. It could be a story, an experience or a thought. Our intention is to spread kindness and increase empathy by demonstrating that despite our many differences in perspectives, beliefs and values, that at the core, we are all the same.
