Our goal is to help people diagnosed with cancer to make more informed decisions related to their care.

As a result of recent advances in genetic sequencing, machine learning/AI, and cloud technologies, many new tests, diagnostics, and prognostics are becoming available every day. It is difficult for doctors (let alone patients) to sort through them, keep up with what is available, and analyze what evidence supports their usage.

Qualisure is at the crossroads of medicine and information, and want to simplify complex oncology information, making it useful and accessible for patients and doctors alike.

The goal of this project is to develop user-friendly and efficient method (user experience) for making unbiased information related to testing options accessible. This is more than a Google search. It is using the latest tools, to understand the latest in medical technology, to make the best decisions possible.

Research:

• Conduct research to understand the needs of users (patients and clinicians) in the context of the project.
• Learn about the latest advances in precision oncology.

Concept Development:

• Develop initial concepts for user experiences, that help doctors and patients understand current guidelines, tests, and evidence focusing on simplicity, accessibility, and user engagement.
• Create sketches and basic layouts to visualize the ideas.

Prototype Creation:

• Translate the concepts into functional prototypes using design tools.
• Iterate the prototypes based on initial feedback from potential users or mentors

NOTE: A medical background is not necessary, but a willingness to learn and be at the forefront of making the latest medical technology available and accessible to those who need it certainly is.

Dedicated Mentor: You will be paired with a senior member of the team who will help you understand the goals, project, and desired outcomes.
