The intern will work directly with the CEO and founder Sharon Bonner and her team to strategize and produce marketing assets to promote her new consulting business – Sharon Bonner Consulting - https://sharonbonnerconsulting.com/

The intern will be responsible to create marketing assets or pursue public relations tasks to support then newly launched company. The Communication Coordinator will be involved in the strategy and execution process and help Sharon promote and publicize her new company and services.

The intern will be working with Sharon and the team to develop content for all sorts of marketing; social media marketing, writing blogs, creating newsletters, and reaching out to industry publications to promote her consulting services. The main goals of this project is to market the new consulting business.

Deliverables

· Developing and editing Sharon’s Public Relations initiative & strategy.

· Carrying out media research and updating the media list.

· Reaching out and pitching to potential stakeholders.

· Planning and creating media pitches, coordinating public appearances, and developing a press release.

· Writing an engaging and successful blog copy [Using SEO].

· Writing a newsletter funnel.

· Creating social media posts with captions, graphics, and hashtags.

· Assisting with the overall marketing and communication strategy.

Mentorship

Sharon believes in supporting and coaching her interns, while giving them the space to be independent. Because their success is her success. At the beginning of the internship, monthly goals are established. Those monthly goals are then broken down into weekly attainable goals.

Sharon likes to offer variety of tasks to the interns and welcomes constant feedback or team proposals if the change will benefit the team. Once a week, Sharon and the interns will meet via zoom to review progress, talk about improvements, suggestions, feedback, etc. The team also uses Slack for immediate and everyday communication.

The interns are very involved in the process and will feel valued and heard. Sharon is a dedicated manager who puts her heart and soul in the intern’s growth and have extensive experience with mentoring and supporting students and interns.
