The research assistants will support the research initiatives under the guidance of research faculty. Areas of inquiry including: immigration and labour markets.
The position requires skills in data retrieval and manipulation, empirical methods, and data display.
The project may include, but is not limited to:
- Overseeing complex data collection, manipulation, and data storage.
- Planning and performing the outlines and looking after data retrieval (eg, data scraping) and analysis (eg, big data analysis) using existing tools and methods.
- Responsible for complex tasks in relation to data retrieval and analysis.
- Working with senior level in the design and execution of empirical tests. Supports the project/study by surveying literature and using existing tools to generate data.
- Conducting literature reviews and contributing to the development of research projects.
- Writing reports and assisting with writing grant applications in terms of conceptualization and research proposal writing.
