Website Migration Project
We would like a replicate our current website to a replicated version that's built on Elementor for our organization. We would like to work with students to develop a new website for us. Students should be prepared to: Use the existing design to create a replica, but fully using "blocks" with Elementor or a similar WYSIWYG plugin for WordPress. Build a fully-functioning website, and migrate all content and copy. Provide and relevant documentation on updating and maintaining the site.
MBA and Business Program Students - Sustainability for today's Social Enterprise
The Great Resignation has led to a greater willingness to leave traditional jobs for careers that offer greater personal fulfillment. This, in turn, has created a more competitive job market for recent graduates and soon-to-be graduates, who are seeking careers that align with their values and offer a sense of purpose. Social enterprises are organizations that aim to generate both social and financial impact. This can include for-profit companies with a social mission, nonprofits that generate revenue through business activities, and hybrid models that combine elements of both. Additionally, social enterprises often offer opportunities to work on innovative and impactful projects, as well as opportunities to grow and develop professionally. This project aims to leverage student learnings, to provide greater resource stability and sustainability for mission-driven organizations, and for SUSTAIN Magazine as a small media social enterprise with a desire to effect change.
Strategic Pivot - SUSTAIN Magazine
SUSTAIN Magazine has established itself as a strong voice for sustainable processes and practices within the food and beverage supply chain - from agriculture to retail to restaurants. The pandemic had a tremendous impact on these industries, but also impacted our publication and its ability to generate revenue as a result. SUSTAIN has applied for a grant from the Canadian Periodicals Fund to strategically pivot to a media organization focused on driving awareness in the area of the UNs Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). https://sdgs.un.org/goals#goals Governments, NGOs and corporate citizenship all have a critical role to play in Canada, and around the globe. SUSTAIN wishes to bring these goals to life through our publication, but also through training & education, thought leadership and planned industry events. We would love for the students to develop a plan for our publication and action steps in order to achieve these outcomes.
Can Canada's Foodservice Sector Meet Our Nation's Commitment to the UN SDGs?
SUSTAIN Magazine has established itself as a strong voice for sustainable processes and practices within the food and beverage supply chain - from agriculture to retail to restaurants. We would love for the students to develop a report on how Canada's agriculture, food and beverage production, and foodservice sectors are in a position to have impact on the UN's 17 SDGs. This is a holistic view of sustainability and would ask the student to develop narratives and key messages regarding industry impacts and how these can be mitigated in both the short and long term.
