FSD Marketing and Communications (Phase 8)

The Faculty of Student Development Communications Team is looking for a student who wants to gain experience through creative initiatives from many mediums like blogs, videos, social media campaigns, and unique publication projects. This project phase will involve the collection of 2022-23 communication assets to start planning for the FSD Annual Report, an overview of the FSD offerings, highlights and updates. Student will draft and facilitate callout for all staff and faculty to report on presentations, professional development, and stats. Writing and creation of promotional materials will continue along with long-term projects that align with spontaneous communication needs. The final phase will include a report that summarizes all activities undertaken in phases 1-8 including process, contacts for collaborators and consults, and recommendations for the 2022-23 Annual Report, as well as suggestions for social media strategies. This phase will run from March 10 - May 10, 2023.

This project will focus on: Developing recruitment, onboarding, and training plan and schedule for related peer mentor programming (Intercultural Ambassadors, Indigenous Mentors) Developing promotional materials for related peer mentor programs Refinement of recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes Development of a manual/guide for related peer mentor program Collaborating with the Faculty of Student Development Communication team to create social media campaigns (Intercultural Understanding/Anti-racism/Inclusion) Collaborating with FSD Comms to update website with new materials Developing event plan for intercultural dialogues Fall 21- Winter 22 Promotion and completion of intercultural dialogues Supporting and planning Learning at Intercultural Intersections Conference 2022 Phase 5: Anti-Racism Resources and Promotion In this phase the project will focus on the creation of resources and social media campaigns that will support the anti-racism throughout the year. In collaboration with the Storytellers and Faculty of Student Development Marketing and Communications team, a series of anti-racism educational materials will be created, as well as a plan for engaging the student population with the resources.
