Fibrilex Canada Inc.
Description

Fibrilex is tackling the challenge of textile waste. 10 million tons of textiles are thrown out every year in North America and over 85% of that could be recycled or repurposed. The production of new textiles contributes to 10% of the global greenhouse gas emissions. This makes them a far to valuable resource to just rot in a landfill or to be burnt. We are working on innovative ways to give textile fibres a second life in industrial applications.

Fibrilex - Marketing + Research

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: As a young start-up we are looking for assistance from intrapreneurs to validate our business assumptions around value proposition, target customer, and impacts through secondary research and customer interviews. This will help us to achieve important business milestones and to refine our business model. The intrapreneurs will search online from relevant sources (literature, industry associations, company websites, annual reports,...) for answers to specific questions, collect, and analyze their findings. Relevant information can be extracted and used for social media posts and newsletter content. They will also communicate with candidates for customer discovery interviews and assist in the execution of these interviews by minute taking. Fibrilex is envisioning a world where we source our raw materials more sustainably and with the least impact to the environment and future generations. We are working towards providing alternative sand sources to the construction industry to mitigate global sand shortages brought about by overexploitation. We care about sustainability, circular economy and gender equality. As a female-founded and led B2B company, we know firsthand what it means to be an underrepresented group in almost every meeting.
