Hello!

My name is Colin Dunbar, and I am an author! I have published seven books and am looking for an illustrator to help me produce art for the next piece in the series. My books include Sanity in the Absurd, The Era of the Orb, The Creator's Almanac, and Nine Bodies in a Puddle.

This internship will involve the production of 8-12 pieces of art for the book series. These include illustrations of characters, illustrations of climactic scenes, and promotional illustrations to be posted on social media.

This project is an excellent opportunity to expand your portfolio and have your artwork featured in a published novel!

The number of illustrations completed may vary slightly by internship, as some may take longer or less time per piece completed. This internship involves 60 hours of work.

We are looking for 8-12 illustrations. These will primarily be pieces of art for The Creator's Almanac - an expansive fantasy adventure series!

Here is a look at the process.

1. Concept: I will send you a concept for a minimum of five illustrations at a time and a total of twelve over the course of the project. These illustrations include anything from simple character descriptions with defining features to scenes with 2-3 characters and a background. The goal is ten illustrations completed, though this may vary by the amount of time spent per illustration. This is a 60 hour internship.
2. Sketch: Once you have reviewed the concept, create a sketch of the illustration! Send this sketch to me before you go into detail. I will review it, and let you know if anything needs to be changed or adjusted.
3. Complete the illustration: Once your sketch has been approved, you can complete the illustration!

We will be in regular communication throughout the project.

If you do not have access to a digital art program, we may be able to provide it for you! We can access Clip Studio Paint and other similar programs. Please let us know in advance if this is needed.

Feedback will be provided at both the sketch stage and on completed illustrations. This feedback may be written or discussed over a Zoom call to showcase particular details to adjust.
