Students at Accelerate Her Future will be provided with an opportunity to graphically design career development resource guides aligned with our branding guidelines. This engagement will give the intern an opportunity to work with a dynamic team within a collaborative environment.

We are a young startup and as a career accelerator for Indigenous, Black and racialized women we care deeply about mentorship. We will help our students succeed as much as we want them to help us enhance our visual identity. We are looking for a student who has creative vision, tenacity, drive, and sees possibilities in all things and who thrives at working independently and within a team environment. This project involves:

• Graphically designing a number of career development resources in line with our branding guidelines.
• Meeting with the Operations & UX Lead to evaluate the choices made for graphics design to ensure it is aligned with company branding goals, and making any necessary revisions.
• Designing and presenting thumbnails for design assets based on the branding guide to be included in a proposal and presented to the project manager.
• Executing the full designs for each branding asset using Canva and Figma, based on the approved thumbnails.

Who are we looking for? Ideally you have lived experience and ‘insider knowledge’ of the communities we serve at the core of our mission. You are inspired by our mission and like working within a collaborative environment. You value patience, respect, generosity, and good humour in your working relationships. Having an emerging understanding of intersectionality and gender and racial equity principles will be an asset.

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:

• Graphically designed career development resource tools in alignment with our brand guidelines.
• Met with the project manager to discuss the branding guide, and completed any changes required.
• Presented a proposal of brand asset design thumbnails to the project manager to be approved for final designs.
• Created the final designs for each brand assets using Canva or Figma.

Final deliverables should include

• A set of graphic designed career development resource sheets based on the branding book and design proposal.

Students will be working directly with AHF's Operations & UX Lead and are required to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement. They will participate in weekly 30-minute project mentorship calls where all questions will be answered.
