** Only available for students that are a part of the LevelUP program.

As a part of our brand awareness initiative, we’re looking for a student to provide assistance in the execution of our 3 phase PR / content marketing campaign / project. This phase is focused on creating a press tour plan.

FINAL DELIVERABLES:

  • Completed press tour plan (up to 3 pages)
  • Completed at least 8 blog articles based on the transcript / outline
  • Submitted at least 24 pitches (that's roughly 3 a week) using pitch templates, pitch query websites etc

TO SUCCEED AT THIS PROJECT, THE STUDENT WOULD NEED:

  • A great eye for trends (pop culture, workplaces etc)
  • An ability to learn quickly
  • Strongly preferred if you have a previous experience or training with media relations / PR
  • Strong interest in media relations / PR
  • Great writing skills
Deliverables

POSSIBLE PROJECT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

  • Research and pitch the possible media outlets, conferences, awards that align with the company’s public relations goals
  • Assist in the creation of new PR campaigns and strategies (in this case, it'll be in a form of a "press tour")
  • Maintaining and updating our media clippings database and our media pitch tracker
  • Assist in logistics/preparation of press tour events
  • Assist in the creation of blog post outlines and blog posts based on the editorial guidelines
  • Brainstorming content ideas and headlines as a part of the editorial efforts
  • Creating a distribution schedule for the blog posts

OTHER DUTIES THAT THE STUDENT MAY COMPLETE:

  • Follow-up with media outlets as needed
  • Assist with preparation of media interviews
Mentorship

Slack messenger

1:1 check-in's (weekly basis, about an hour long)

Working in virtual HQ together in case there are ad-hoc questions, on-the-spot brainstorming / tutorials etc

Training sessions (as needed)
