The main goal for the project is to conduct research to launch a new product in the health food industry based on Coffee fruit. This will involve understanding the necessary certifications, import requirements, health claims, and nutritional labeling needed to bring the product to market.


Deliverables


- Research and compile a list of Food Certifications needed from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency for the new product.


- Identify import requirements or potential importers to bring coffee fruit into Canada for the product.


- Investigate the health claims requirements to obtain a Natural Health Product number for the new product.


- Research Health Canada requirements for nutritional labeling and approval for the new product.
