Website Development - Update
Positions available: 3 ( teams or individually) We are searching for a Website Designer(s) to be able to build and rebrand our existing public and membership websites that currently live on WildApricot. The successful web designer's duties incorporate the conception process, which includes a landing page to membership website building. We would like a new website feel for our organization that integrates with our membership database. Students should be prepared to: Conduct a review of our sites to determine process mapping and flow suitable for a members-based non-profit organization. Make site design/UI by utilizing standard HTML/CSS rehearses and the WildApricot Widgets Coordinate information from different back-end app and data sets Accumulate and refine particulars and necessities dependent on specialized requirements Incorporate designs being made in Canva to make site look nicer Build a fully-functioning and interactive website.

Data and Gap Analysis
Positions available: 2 SUMMARY BC Hospice Palliative Care Association is a not-for-profit, membership organization, which has been representing individuals and organizations committed to promoting and delivering hospice/palliative care to British Columbians since 1986 Each year, BCHPCA hosts an educational event that focuses on topics of interest to healthcare professionals, hospice society staff and volunteers, and members of allied organizations who are committed to quality end-of-life care. Using real company data, students will spot trends and relationships between the COVID 19 impact survey we did last year and this year. Students will submit their recommendations and conclusions to the decision-makers of the company. WHAT WE WANT STUDENTS TO DO? We’d like students to help analyze our datasets to draw helpful insights. From this analysis, we hope to not only improve our processes and understanding but also gain insights that will greatly enhance our strategy. These insights will be directly related to business outcomes. Here are some of the topics we’d like students to explore throughout this project: Core issues we can use to change the funding processes. Analyze your data to spot trends and relationships among variables Create tables and graphs of summary statistics of key variables Identify trends and potential predictive mitigation strategies. Identifying and implementing any necessary technology infrastructure Possible project examples include, but are not limited to: analysis of COVID impact survey data to determine the relationship between this and last year creating a summary of key customer demographic statistics summarizing results of a customer survey to identify which characteristics are associated with different results The final project will include (as part of a 5-10 page document): A summary of important and insightful information discovered from the available data Tables and graphs of important statistics and relationships A summary of conclusions and any recommendations based on the data and information obtained

Website Development
We want a new website for our organization that integrates with our membership database. We aren’t sure which platform we would like for it to be built on, but we have an idea of what we would like it to do. We would like to work with students to build and design a public- and member-facing website. Students should be prepared to: Conduct a needs analysis to determine which platform is most suitable for integration Build a fully-functioning website. Provide training on updating and maintaining the site.

New Members Analysis
SUMMARY Using real company data, students will spot trends and relationships between members and donors numbers we had last year and this year. Students will submit their recommendations and conclusions that how we can attract and retain new members to the company. This project will include: Identification of our current competitors Identification of potential future competitors (eg. a large company in a similar industry that may enter the space) The creation of a matrix identifying features shared across the companies and those that are different. A summary of 2-4 paragraphs describing our competitive advantages and disadvantages relative to the competition identified. This could be done in the form of a SWOT analysis. the ways we can attract and retain the members and donors. Accurately predict members' and donors' behaviors. Determine and improving retention of members trends. Predicting various events of interest We will give you access to organizational assets to support this project such as personnel, website analytics, sales and brand collateral, and more. We can suggest names of competitors to research. Objective We hope to gain a comprehensive understanding of the competitors in our space and how we can differentiate ourselves through our product/service offering, and our messaging. Final deliverables will include: Project Proposal Sprint 1: Data Exploration, Data Preparation, and Modeling Final Project Report Presentation
