Students have two options: 1. Build on the work completed by Humber College students on the KnowQuest.net React-based webapp to complete the project. KnowQuest is the world's first Academic Feedback platform, and one of the most advanced feedback platforms in general. KnowQuest combines Credibility of users with Anonymity of ratings and Security (no personal information collected or sold) and Homogeneity (ratings are layered, not just 5 stars - thus, they are highly informative, powerful, and easily comparable). 2. MyPanion.com - Ethical Home Healthcare startup. MyPanion is bringing dignity and respect back to the home healthcare industry. By charging the customer a little less, and paying care workers much more, we ensure higher quality, better value, and better matches. Your job will be to create the MyPanion App. The App is a glorified scheduler with a GPS function built it. More details about the functionality of both options are available.
Defensibility Calculator
Defensibility refers to the Entrepreneur's ability to defend their business idea or plan. Starting a business is HARD, so a defensibility score can help the entrepreneur and potential investor by pointing out strengths and weaknesses. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to take Dr. Agostino Menna's Defensibility calculation (he is our team member) and deploy it into a simple website/webapp in React / Python or similar. We bought www.defensibility.ca for just this purpose!
Chatbot Development for BoardSpace
The goal of this project is to review the possibility of creating a chatbot for a new support/ticketing feature for BoardSpace's condo and homeowner association customers. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: - Researching existing chatbot technology and APIs. - Propose a technical strategy for building a chatbot that would fit the needs of our support/ticket feature. - Propose a technical strategy for Integrating the chatbot with BoardSpace's existing database via an API.
