Website / Landing Page Design

Our aim is to work with students to analyze our current landing page, suggest and pitch improvements and successfully design and implement a ‘Version 2’ of the landing page. The aim for this landing page is to attract and entice potential users/investors to learn more about our company and potentially sign up and provide us their contact details by registering to a newsletter. Therefore it is imperative that the landing page is designed in an extremely user friendly way, that still portrays all of the information in an accessible manner. Our website is currently a landing page only, whilst our full web-app is in development. Therefore this landing page must focus on promoting our upcoming web-app by providing the main information, keeping in mind the target market which would be investors and potential users, inciting them to sign up for when our web app is fully completed.  The project would be roughly broken down in the following stages: Analyze current landing page (15%) Research improvements (15%) Pitch improvements and ideas to our team for approval and feedback (20%) Implement and design a new ‘Version 2’ of the landing page with the agreed improvements (50%)

Averecs - Web Application UI / UX Design & Prototype

Our company would like to explore designing our web application with a prototype. We are always on the lookout for innovative and fresh UI and UX ideas that will help our users. This will involve: Conducting background research on our target demographics and learning about our product and its features to design a web application for the product. We are happy to provide a walkthrough and other resources to help bring them up to speed. Identifying key areas of our product and what areas of focus might return the best results in the design. Creation of a screen-by-screen UX / UI prototype of a web application which can be used on all major browsers and be mobile-friendly. If time does not permit the creation of a fully interactive prototype, we will be satisfied with a mockup.  Creation of a UX / UI prototype of a landing page which can be used on all major browsers and be mobile friendly. It will primarily display static information about our company, product features, pricing, plans, support, and a section where users can create an account / sign-up or sign-in to their existing account -> Taking them to the web application. Similar to the web app, If time does not permit the creation of a fully interactive prototype, we will be satisfied with a mockup.  Design and implement company brand guidelines, compatible with Angular Material Design custom theming, which will be used in the web application.  Conducting UX / UI testing with real potential users, potentially involving paper prototypes or other software tools to support this. Using Figma for all project deliverables, including design and prototypes.

DevOps: cloud architecture and deployment

Implement our cloud architecture, deployment pipelines and security mechanisms: Following the proposed cloud architecture diagram, which uses AWS, and with a development and production environments. The development environment will consist of a front-end web app (SPA) and some back-end microservices. This environment must be private and only accessible by permitted users. The production environment will be for hosting our landing page, which will be open to the public. Using Github Actions, create pipelines to deploy to the different servers. Production deployment must be protected and can only be triggered by allowed people. Secrets must be handled properly. Students will have the freedom to research and advise as much as they would like on the proposed architectural design. We will work closely with them and will be open to their creativity and knowledge.
