ICT Ignite - Cyber Security Project

The main goal of this project is to plan, implement, manage, monitor and upgrade security measures for the protection of [insert company here]'s data, systems and networks. Our project is in the healthcare sector, where security of data are scrutinized protected with high regard. We're looking for a vulnerability report and the measures we need to take to make the the software compliant with industry standards.

Phase 4.3 - Automated Transport App (Test Net)

We are working to provide hospitals and clinics with an application that will automate and standardize transporting requests. This application will allow employees to input requests to Transporters, so that patients can come down for their diagnostic imaging test. Transport requests need to work similar to uber where they can be tracked and estimated arrival times are displayed. Currently this is very time consuming using a conventional paging system.. By utilizing our transport app, management can create strategic decisions based on the live analytics dashboard. We’ve aligned our core competency with their ever-evolving initiatives related with COVID-19, and plan to integrate automated email reports.

Phase 4.2 - Automated Scheduling/Staffing App

We are working to provide hospitals and clinics with an application that will automate and standardize staffing requests. This application will allow Supervisors to input requests for healthcare staff and allow them to fill vacancies automatically by pre defining the parameters the app needs to execute.. Staffing requests currently are very time consuming. By utilizing our staffing app and other creative logic, we plan to automate all the mundane tasks in-between employees and management. We’ve aligned our core competency with their ever-evolving initiatives related with COVID-19, and plan to integrate automated response's when staff call in sick.

Our company will be working in conjunction with the Applied Computer Education Project Space (ACE Project Space) at Red River College Polytechnic (RRC Polytech). RRC Polytech is a learner-centred institution that places an emphasis on real-world experience and opportunities for students to take part in Work Integrated Learning (WIL). As part of the Applied Computer Education (ACE) department the ACE Project Space has been giving WIL experiences to students for the past 9 years. The ACE Project Space works with real-world clients to solve problems that will enhance their business. In the past ACE Project Space has worked with Government, not-for-profit organizations, established businesses and start-up companies. Solutions have been created for almost 100 unique clients and well over 100 unique projects have been completed. Due to COVID-19 restrictions all work for this practicum will be completed remotely. The project's academic supervisor will be (your lead instructor's name) . Problem or opportunity The project scope and overall requirements of what is being built must be established before continuing on to the construction/build phase. Objective The goal of this project is to establish a clear set of requirements that is communicated to the client in order to establish a shared understanding of what is to be built by the project team. The expected deliverables to be delivered by the student(s) are as follows: · A RASCI chart to establish the accountabilities of the the team members · Wireframes of the solution to be produced · StoryMap outlining team tasks and project scope · Establish priority features that provide the highest level of business value · An Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) that establishes the entities in the database and relations between the entities · Potentially create proof of concept code to establish feasibility of the solution · Working in a consultation role with the team's business analyst a Project Charter will be created · Establishing an initial development environment based on the requirements
