Students complete hands-on, practical experience developing software and/or delivering IT solutions in a project environment. The project addresses the application of analytics and statistics in a real world situation and is a capstone project for final year Master students. Our students have extensive knowledge in data extraction and preprocessing, data wrangling and exploration, data visualization, machine learning, forecasting, multivariate analysis, quality control and experimental design. This course is focused on developing students' understanding of transportation & freight logistics requirements and operations. The course is a popular elective and thus we have students from many disciplines enrolled bringing with them a variety of talents and interests from The Business School of RMIT University. Executive MBA students studying Managing Business Operations. Students have a minimum three years management experience to enter this program of study. Many students are in responsible roles in world class organizations (e.g., Ford Motor Company, National Australia Bank, RMIT University, Vinci Energies etc.). Students have completed Design Thinking for Business and are completing cross functional courses in Accounting, Leadership and Ethics, Marketing, Managing Technology and Innovation Strategy and Financial Management. This give students a sound basis for an industry focused Managing Business Operations project with Riipen.
