The goal for this project is to learn and implement skills in grantwriting and administrative duties required to operate a not-for-profit organization in Canada.


Deliverables will include one (1) completed expression of interest letter drafted and submitted to a granting body.


Students will learn how to implement this into their own education and how this skill translates into writing scholarships for post secondary education and work within the charitable sector.

Deliverables

Students will need to research available grants and write an expression of interest letter. Weekly check in meetings will take place to ensure student is on track. Student will also be responsible for managing a general contact inbox with oversight from company executives to learn what goes into day to day operations.

Mentorship

Students will have a direct line to the organizations president and will have weekly meetings to ensure that project stays on track. Students will also be granted a license for Microsoft office if required.

A Calgary Based Not-For-Profit with a focus on mental health, particularly for Gender-Diverse individuals.
Currently we are running monthly skills workshops to teach individuals how to make and alter their clothing to best represent their gender expression. We are looking to partner with other local organizations to expand our service offerings to better support the 2SLGBTQ+ communities of Southern Alberta.
