ICT Ignite - Redteaming Proejct
The goal of this project is to try to break the security of Noo Speak and LanguageMint through typical web-app attack vectors and common vulnerabilities. Students will complete the project by documenting findings and submitting recommendations to identify and patch security issues within our products.
User Testing & Discovery
The goal of this project is to find and interview people for two separate types of interview: user testing and user discovery.User Testing: Gathering feedback on what people think of Noo Speak's UI/UX, features, usefulness, what they like/dislike, what they want to see changed, etc.User Discovery: Finding language learners and collecting feedback on what people think of existing language learning apps, what they want in a language learning app, how they currently learn languages, what helps them, etc.By the end of the project, we aim to have interviewed 10 people from each category.
Grant Discovery and Writing
The goal of the project will be to identify and apply for grants, programs, foundations, organizations, etc., that Noo Speak would be well-suited to receive funding from. This will be useful in understanding the available funding and support for a technology-driven language learning startup like ours, as well as what is necessary to attain it.
Marketing Strategy and Research
We are looking to reach a wider audience of users through features from bloggers, influencers, media shout-outs, etc. The goal of this project is to create a spreadsheet with categories for the ways in which our product can be featured, people/organizations for each of these categories, and details for each person/organization such as who they are, what they do, projected audience size, why we'd be a good fit, what we can offer as incentive, their contact information/links, etc. You will be trying to come up with the best marketing strategy for approaching each person/organization.
Creating Graphic Design Assets
We're looking to do a website redesign and step up our marketing but we only have a handful of graphic design assets that were quickly made in Canva. Students will be creating new graphic design assets based off of their own ideas or existing content. If there is time at the end of the project, students will be able to see their work deployed on our website & social media platforms!
Mobile App UI / UX Design & Prototype
We're looking to create a mobile app for Noo Speak to reach a greater audience and provide a more convenient service to our users. Before we create a mobile app, a wireframe/mock-up of the user interface and user experience is required. The goal of this project will be to create such a wireframe (no code) to act as a reference for when development starts on the mobile app.
Re-designing our Website Homepage
Our homepage was quickly put together as a landing page for our MVP, but now that our product is released, our site needs a new look. The current implementation lacks any information about our product description, features, and benefits. The end goal of this project will be to develop a new homepage (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) and work with a graphic designer to determine what graphical assets need to be created for the various sections of the new page.
Social Media Content Creation (TikTok/Instagram Reels)
We launched a few months ago and so far all of our users have only come from direct marketing. We want to leverage our social media accounts to connect with a larger audience through TIkTok and Instagram Reels videos. We have an easily demonstrable product that is innovative to the language learning industry, so the goal of this project will be to create ~8 videos that highlight features/use cases for Noo Speak or use recent trends/formats to bring more attention, followers, and views to Noo Speak.
