Research Analyst, Women in Technology
The main goal for this project is to conduct a research study on companies in Alberta's growing tech sector, to determine how many boards have gender equity, with supplemental data on women holding influential roles in the tech sector such as CTO or CIO. Research and compile a list of all tech companies in Alberta. Gather data on the gender composition of boards in these technology companies. Analyze the data to determine the percentage of women in influential roles in the technology sector in Alberta. Work with Toast's partner organization to co-create a report summarizing the findings.
Graphic Design Intern
The main goal for the project is to design social assets for Toast: a membership-based collective that connects women to roles in tech. The assets will be used to promote the company's mission and connect with potential members and partners on social media channels. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Understand Toast's brand identity, mission, and target audience. Get to know Toast's brand voice, tone and sense of humour. We like the push the limits: both in our brand identity, and the quality of work we put out. Create designs for social media posts, banners, and other promotional materials using canvas, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign. Collaborate with Toast's Marketing Lead and Founders to ensure the designs align with the company's messaging and goals. Incorporate feedback and make revisions to the designs as needed.
Product Intern: Strategic Roadmap & Funding Blueprint
To develop a detailed one-year roadmap for the companyβs technical builds and programming expansion from August 2024 to July 2025. This roadmap will outline the resource requirements and integrate a non-dilutive funding strategy with clear timelines and a toolkit to ensure successful implementation.
B2B Lead Generation Specialist
The main goal for the project is to identify and evaluate potential outbound sales leads for TryToast's growth team. The project also involves creating a strategy and compiling a list of potential leads to help the growth team identify the best ways to approach these leads for sales opportunities. This will involve several different steps for the learners, including: Researching and understanding TryToast's target market and ideal customer profile. Identifying potential outbound sales leads through market research and data analysis. Evaluating the potential leads based on their fit with TryToast's offerings and values. Developing a strategy for approaching the identified leads and creating a comprehensive list of potential leads. Collaborating with the growth team to determine the best ways to approach the leads for sales opportunities.
