Bio

Hello, my name is Dana Jessica Henry, though I go by Jessica. I am a fourth-year student at the University of Toronto, currently completing a double major in Human Biology and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology respectively. I have completed Riipen projects before with the Antarctic Institute of Canada. The projects were based on creative writing across many subject areas(such as Humanities, Health Sciences, and History) with the final results being published.

I am very passionate about writing and I have experiences writing blogs, newsletters, and SEO content for many companies through Riipen, such as Fast and Female, Desserts App, and The Sweet Lyfe.

Team feedback
Jessica has been an absolute pleasure to collaborate with. From the moment that she joined our team she was eager to hit the ground running, already geared with innovative story ideas that she wanted to bring to the Fast and Female blog. With intersectionality at the core of her intentions, Jessica pitched story ideas specific to issues plaguing Black women in sports, interviewed key stakeholders within our network, and produced numerous thought-provoking blog posts, garnering praise from other team members and our readers. I loved working with her!
