Create a Customer Support Chat Bot
Launch an AI Chatbot using VoiceFlow to support customers visiting our e-commerce store. We sell equipment for walking multiple dogs. There are many components that are modular and can be configured in different ways to improve the experience of handling dogs on leash. Our product line is not a simple one, and making a first-time purchase requires significant guidance. We hope to reduce the burden of customer inquiries on administration and increase customer satisfaction with a robust chat bot.
Brand Journalist for Dog Gear Company
TinyHorse has a unique place in the dog industry -- we are the only company that's designed an extensive system for walking multiple dogs. Dog walkers the world over have told us that our equipment is life changing. We want to highlight the unique stories of their businesses and TinyHorse's place within it! We are building a team of 5 students to share the tasks of interviewing our loyal customers and writing blog articles based on the transcripts. We hope to finish the project with 15 blog posts. These articles will be published on our website, promoted on our social media channels and circulated through our e-mail list.

This will be a web-hosted app that utilizes CHAT GPT-4, is on a password-protected page, and is easy for the front-facing and back-facing users to control the app's output.

The brand journalist may also find other interesting topics to cover related to TinyHorse and the dog walking industry. These articles will be published on our website, promoted on our social media channels and circulated through our e-mail list.
Canada-wide list of dog product vendors
TinyHorse is developing a wholesale program. We're looking for interns to develop a Canada-wide Excel spreadsheet of independent pet shops that sell dog products. This task will include the creation of the excel template and an extensive internet search.
Develop a Canada-Wide list of Markets and Tradeshows Relevant to our Company
TinyHorse sells gear for walking multiple dogs. From 2017-2021 we strictly sold our products through our online store at walkmultipledogs.com. In 2021, we participated in trade shows (Canadian Pet Expo) and dog-related events for the first time. It helped our business grow substantially. Now we have a Brick & Mortar location in Toronto, and in 2024 we want to increase our presence at events. But we need a comprehensive list of events to create our schedule. We are seeking a student to generate an events list (Excel spreadsheet) for us that includes all the necessary information we need to create our event schedule this year. We are seeking a Canada-wide list of 100+ events.
Content Managers for Company Guide
Students engaged in this project will gather, synthesize and organize our company's information to create a Company Guide. The Company Guide will contain (but will not be limited to) our business plan, operations and in-depth product information. The Company Guide will be a text document written in Google Docs and will be navigable via a table of contents. The Company Guide is a crucial resource to be used by a team of students working in more detail on different aspects of the company development. The content managers will help the students access and develop the company information they need to complete their projects. For example, a team focusing on the company's financial plan can request documents needed for their work, and their final approved plan will become part of the Company Guide. The Content Managers will communicate with the company owner to keep the overall vision of the project on track and to make recommendations for additional hires where necessary. By the end of the project, the content managers will provide the Company Guide in a complete form as possible. They'll have developed their creative and managerial skills and will have increased their professional network to include students studying in other fields and at different institutions.
Improve our Sales funnel
Our company sells a complex line of products for walking multiple dogs. The main problem we are trying to solve is to improve our understanding of user experiences, so we can better inform the customer on what they need to purchase in their particular scenario. We would like to understand our strengths and areas of improvement from a customer perspective. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Conducting background research on customer journey mapping, our products and customers. Analyzing customer responses from surveys and interviews. Defining the phases and touchpoints of the purchasing process. Incorporating user actions, emotions, goals, and pain points in the customer journey map. Proposing solutions to minimize pain points while meeting business goals. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Developing multiple customer journey maps to account for different experiences and paths.
Develop Business Plan
TinyHorse has been operating for 7 years. It's grown organically from being a side-gig to becoming front and centre with an online store and brick & mortar location in Toronto. In all these years we've never developed an official business plan! We're looking for a business student to walk us through the required steps and come out on the other end with an official document outlining our business operations, where it's heading, and to prepare us for the interest of investors. There is information that's already been developed and can be utilized in the process, but other areas will need to be generated in collaboration with the company owner. This opportunity will be a great case study for a senior-level business student.

We have hundreds of 5-star reviews on our website and an endless stream of user-generated content (UGC) on Instagram that isn’t currently utilized. Use your 80 hours to leverage reviews and user-generated content to write fifteen 250-word blog posts . The blog posts will be based on what the student learns about the products and possibilities from customer reviews and UGC from instagram. The student will be expected to distill and reflect upon the content and reform it as an informative and valuable resource for other customers. The use of AI is acceptable, however we expect the content to be specific to the use of our company materials and not dog walking in general. Content that lacks originality or specificity will not be accepted. The writing is a priority, but if time allows, the student will also be given access to our Shopify blog to develop a template and load in their blogs in draft form for potential publishing. The blogs will be published as "company material" but we will happily provide a reference and writing credit upon the student's request.
Create a digital wholesale package
After 7 years of DTC sales, TinyHorse is expanding into the wholesale market! We design and produce gear for walking multiple dogs, and after becoming internationally-known in the dog walking industry, we're ready to expand our retail presence. An important piece in this effort is to create a wholesale package that introduces buyers to our products and product variants. The student will assist company founder Taylor Leedahl in generating a digital catalogue to be distributed among potential wholesale clients.

If hours remain after establishing this platform, you will be tasked with developing an email campaign to reconnect with those previously showing interest in a wholesale account.

Use your 80 hours to research and create an online tool for how to improve the decision-making process for customers. Perhaps the answer is a decision tree, a curated navigational flow of the website or a questionnaire that generates the answers customers need?
